Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, relationship‑driven Group Sales Manager focused on soliciting, developing, and managing key group accounts to drive revenue and strengthen Alila Napa Valley's presence within the Valley.

This individual will serve as a key ambassador of the Alila brand, bringing creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of luxury service to every program while maximizing revenue and ensuring operational excellence. This is an on‑site position with workspace in St. Helena, California.

The expected salary range Alila Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay for this position is $72,000 - $90,000.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively solicit and contract group room block and food and beverage event business (including corporate, association, government, C‑level retreats, incentives and other offsite meetings and events)
  • Manage all incoming inquiries, site tours, and proposals with a high‑touch, consultative sales approach
  • Initiate, lead and host story‑telling luxury resort site visits to the resort for qualified event planners, including itinerary building beyond the resort, and evening and weekend hosting as needed at the customer's preference
  • Develop creative, tailored event concepts aligned with the Alila Napa Valley experience
  • Partner with marketing to support promotional strategies, partnerships, and local outreach opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals through strategic prospecting and group lead conversion
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle and repeat business growth of assigned group market from solicitation, to bid, to repeat contract.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for group customers, ensuring a seamless and personalized sales experience.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, planners, and local partners
  • Deliver an elevated level of personalized service consistent with luxury hospitality expectations
  • Anticipate client needs and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Generate repeat and referral business through exceptional service delivery
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 3‑5 years of previous group sales experience, ideally within a luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Proven ability to solicit, sell, and earn repeat business in multiple market segments and group sizes
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Passion for luxury hospitality, guest experience, and storytelling through events
  • Knowledge of Napa Valley or luxury destination markets is a plus
