Position Overview
The mission of the Napa County District Attorney's Office is to investigate and prosecute criminal and civil cases with integrity and fairness, to treat crime victims and witnesses with the highest level of respect and dignity, and to take a proactive role in crime prevention through community awareness and education.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience is desired.
Position Requirements Victim Advocate Witness I ($33.43 - $39.55)- Experience:
One year of para‑professional victim services, peer counseling, crisis intervention, social services or related advocacy experience. - Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of 18 units of college‑level coursework in behavioral science, psychology, sociology, criminal justice or a closely related field is highly desirable.
- Experience:
Two years of experience performing victim services, peer counseling, crisis intervention and social services work activities for the County of Napa or other victim‑witness program. - Education:
Completion of 18 units of college‑level coursework in behavioral science, psychology, sociology, criminal justice or a closely related field. Additional victim witness advocacy work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis. An Associate, Bachelor and/or Masters degree is highly desirable.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Any required license, certification, or registration shall be maintained in good standing throughout employment.
