SALARY RANGE: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. The Head Tennis Professional provides additional assistance in the development of the tennis and pickleball programs creatively and operationally with the Director of Tennis.
Essential Functions- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Foster positive relationships with the members and repeat resort guests
- Instruct tennis at varying levels and ages in a progressive and educational manner.
- Assist Director of Tennis with scheduling private and group lessons, charge and collect fees, execute the policies and regulations of the tennis related activities at the resort.
- Contribute in the creation of new concepts for various tennis events and orchestrates the communication promotion and execution of these events.
- Oversee court reservation program to ensure equitable and amenable allocation of court usage for members guests tournaments lessons and other events.
- Encourage Member participation in tennis programs.
- Assist the Director of Tennis in additional program areas as needed.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Proven experience working as a tennis coach or instructor.
- Experience developing tennis programs is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of various coaching techniques.
- CPR & First Aid Certifications are required.
- Must be able to motivate students.
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures, including temperatures above 100°
F. - Physical exertion (jogging, running, bending, twisting).
