Lead Driver provides safe, timely, and courteous transportation for program participants to and from the Center, medical appointments, and other approved destinations. In addition to performing all core driver duties, the Lead Driver supports daily transportation operations by coordinating schedules and route adjustments, completing required documentation, assisting with vehicle readiness and compliance, and serving as a point of contact for drivers during assigned shifts.
The Lead Driver helps set the tone for a respectful, calm, and service‑focused experience for every participant trip and communicates observations relevant to participant care and safety to the interdisciplinary team.
- First Aid training within 30 days of hire.
- Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 60 days of hire.
- Driving is a necessary part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving, provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request, and obtain California Class B driver’s license and proof of insurance per company policy upon hire.
- 4 years’ experience providing passenger transportation and/or supporting transportation operations.
- Experience transporting passengers requiring assistance.
- Comfort with basic computer applications for documentation and communication.

Pay Range: $24.74 - $37.85.
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
