As an employee-owned distributor of natural and organic, specialty, and fresh products, we're committed to making a positive impact and scaling our success together. With a culture that fosters development and opportunity, you'll be embarking on a career that's moving forward. When you join KeHE, you're becoming part of a team that is a force for good.

Primary

Responsibilities

The Pricing Manager for Trademark is responsible for the pricing strategy, execution across all service offerings, and truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation consolidation, both new business opportunities and ongoing customer management. This role leads the customer RFP lifecycle and the management of awarded business, working in close partnership with Sales, Carrier Procurement, Operations, Data/Analytics, and Executive Leadership to build competitive, profitable pricing that wins business and supports sustainable growth.

As the company's pricing subject-matter expert, this role sets pricing best practices, strengthens and standardizes pricing processes, surfaces market and margin opportunities, and helps scale the pricing function as the business grows across all lines of service. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Functions

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the RFP process end to end — from opportunity intake through pricing development, submission, award, and implementation — across LTL consolidation & Truckload brokerage.
  • Facilitate bid strategy and review sessions to confirm pricing assumptions, customer requirements, lane and facility scope, and competitive positioning.
  • Assess market conditions, lane and rate trends, and capacity using industry tools (e.g., DAT, Greenscreens/pricing engines) alongside internal data.
  • Build pricing models and proposals that balance probability, account growth, and margin across each line of business.
  • Develop and submit bids through customer procurement platforms and internal pricing systems.
  • Present pricing recommendations, market intelligence, and award forecasts to commercial and executive leadership.
  • Evaluate awarded business for profitability, strategic fit, and operational feasibility before implementation.
  • Load and manage awarded volume in pricing systems and track customer commitments against actuals.
  • Partner with Carrier Procurement/Sourcing to align capacity and cost strategies with contracted freight.
  • Work with Data and Technology teams to advance pricing automation, reporting, and analytics.
  • Identify repricing, cross-sell, and portfolio-optimization opportunities across the existing book of business.
  • Monitor lane and facility performance, margin trends, and volume utilization; recommend pricing adjustments as conditions shift.
  • Deliver ongoing competitive and market intelligence to commercial leadership.
  • Document, maintain, and continuously improve pricing workflows, SOPs, and governance.
  • Serve as the pricing SME and help build a scalable pricing function to support future growth.
  • Manage and lead a team to ensure business goals are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
