Dental Assistant (Part-Time, Potential for Full-Time)

Our growing dental practice is looking for a friendly, compassionate, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our team! We are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming and supportive environment. Part-Time

Hours:

• Tuesday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

This position may transition into a Full-Time opportunity based on practice needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments before and after patient appointments
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including restorations, crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and other treatments
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations
• Set up and organize instruments, materials, and equipment needed for patient care
• Review patient health histories and accurately document treatment information in electronic dental records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment recommendations, and post-operative instructions
• Escort patients to and from treatment rooms while ensuring a positive patient experience
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and inform management when reordering is needed
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of operatories and clinical areas
• Assist with impressions and laboratory procedures as permitted by state regulations
• Support front office operations, including patient check-in/check-out and scheduling as needed
• Provide compassionate, professional customer service to patients of all ages
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the dentist or practice leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Dental Assistant certification, registration, or licensure as required by state law
• Current X-ray certification, if required by state regulations
• Previous dental assisting experience required
• CPR certification preferred
