Special Education Teacher – Elementary Autism Program
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide maternity leave coverage at an Illinois elementary school from August 13 through November
9. This full-time, school-based opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a structured, self-contained autism classroom. In this role, you will work with a small caseload of nine students in grades 3–5, delivering individualized instruction that promotes academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional growth. You'll collaborate with related service providers, school staff, and families to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment while ensuring each student's unique educational needs are met.
Further Details:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Maintain accurate progress monitoring, documentation, and student records.
- Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained elementary autism classroom.
- Partner with families, general education staff, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
- Create a structured, engaging classroom environment that encourages independence and positive behavior.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Commitment to fostering student growth in a supportive educational setting.
- Experience working with students with autism or in a self-contained classroom is preferred.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement, or eligibility to obtain licensures.
