Elementary School Teacher

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks an Elementary School Teacher to support at-risk and nontraditional learners in a small, structured alternative education setting. In this role, you will plan and deliver standards-based, personalized instruction, using data to adjust teaching and help students close academic gaps. You will foster a safe, supportive classroom, implement behavior support strategies, and collaborate closely with school districts, support staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based, differentiated lessons for elementary students in an alternative education setting.
• Create a safe, structured, student-centered classroom that supports at-risk and nontraditional learners.
• Use assessments and student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Implement behavior support strategies and classroom management aligned with program expectations.
• Collaborate with school districts, support staff, and families to coordinate student supports.
• Contribute to IEP and intervention planning and implement accommodations as required.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and documentation of student performance.
• Participate in professional development focused on special education, behavior support, and student advocacy.
