Candidate may work from Naperville, IL, Longmont, CO, or Westborough, MA sites.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Design for Manufacturing Engineer will perform design-for-manufacturing analysis using the VALOR platform to evaluate the electronics PCBA assembly layout in accordance with IPC guidelines, component manufacturers' specifications/recommendations, and industry-standard practices. VALOR output report will be qualified and quantified using a standard format in which risk assessment is presented for possible design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality, and yield.

• Engineering B.S. degree (Electrical)
• Experience managing/viewing PCB files and viewers:
  • Cadence/Allegro
  • ODB++
  • Gerber/ASCII files
  • KiCAD
  • Siemens Xpedition
  • CAMvu
• Experience in search/interpretation of electronics part data, component libraries.
• Component engineering experience
• 3 years of experience in basic PCB design guidelines (Real Estate constraints/component proximity, thermal relief, copper density/distribution, trace/pad copper balance, etc.)
• PCB panel/Array design
• PCBA assembly experience desired (SMT/Pin through hole, Press fit interconnects)
