Overview

System One has an exciting opportunity for Pipe Stress Engineer to support commercial nuclear projects.

Responsibilities

+ Perform stress analyses for client projects involving modifications to existing power generation facilities and plant systems.

+ Prepare piping and engineering specifications to support code compliance.

+ Design and analyze modifications to existing power plants as well as new plant systems.

+ Perform pipe stress calculations and develop design recommendations, isometrics, specifications, and design change packages.

+ Lead design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design teams.

+ Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects.

+ Support constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development.

+ Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

+ BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university required.

+ Minimum of 2-5 years of piping/mechanical design experience with a focus on pipe stress analysis projects in nuclear facilities, oil & gas or similar systems.

+ Proficiency in AutoPIPE, GTStrudl, and Mathcad required.

+ Knowledge of ME101, AutoPIPE, Super Pipe, AutoCAD, Laser Scanning and GTStrudl preferred.

+

Experience with AutoCAD, Laser Scanning, and related engineering software preferred.

+ Professional Engineering License preferred.

+ Strong organizational skills.

+ Effective written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues, and colleagues within other disciplines, project managers, and management.

+ Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, and CAD Software.
