Sr. Electronics Technician Pay Rate: $25 to $31.36/HR Duration: 12 months
Location:
Naperville, IL Our Client is a Global medical device Manufacturer. We are looking for a Sr. Electronics Technician. Responsible for the production of a wireless, handheld Reader unit for Pulmonary artery (PA) pressure monitoring. The Technician will be responsible for the assembly, tuning, and testing of the Reader and Docking Station. Test analog and digital board circuits (Board Level Testing). Make circuit board modifications.
Perform rework on prototype samples per Engineering work orders. Build and test prototype units. Perform circuit verification and validation / Root cause analysis. Characterize RF performance on test equipment and fixtures. Assemble Reader & Dock units and generate proper documentation accordingly per manufacturing process instructions (MPI). Create and organize engineering documentation (Design History Record) and maintain logs. Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Assist in writing Manufacturing documents (MPI, QIP, etc.) as needed. Tune Reader units and generate tuning forms. Test fully assembled Reader & Dock units per Standard Test Method (STM), Work instructions (WI), etc. Perform system verification and validation using best practices for medical industry, including ISO 13485. Label and package finish goods for shipment. Support R&D team as needed. Maintain a clean and controlled working environment.
Provide support for other manufacturing product lines (as needed). Other duties as assigned by Manager. Qualifications Experience in the Medical Device field is highly desired or in another regulated industry (Automotive/Aerospace). Exceptionally good skills in soldering fine-pitch surface-mount components. Ability to read and follow electronics circuit schematics, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation Demonstrated success in supporting product development of embedded systems, from concept definition to architecting to design and verification and validation
Experience with development of handheld consumer electronics Exposure to Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer in a structured environment Experience in using test equipment including but not limited to mixed-signal oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, impedance analyzers, and power supplies Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Android/iOS use. Ability to complete tasks/work with minimal supervision after training. Ability to communicate well both orally and in written form.
Ability to lift and handle 25-pound boxes. Education BS or BSEET or equivalent or a technical associate degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or can consider High school/GED with Electronic certifications or 2 years trade school.
