Who You Are:
You are in pursuit of or have recently obtained your CPA license and enjoy helping clients and collaborating with your co-workers when you encounter a unique situation that requires you to research and solve a client's problem. You are looking to advance your career and help grow your firm.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of returns by preparing and reviewing individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate returns, as well as estimated payments and extensions
- Develop an understanding of client businesses and use this knowledge to help diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions
- Leverage effective working relationships with clients through responsiveness and direct communication in order to influence and motivate them
- Independently organize project activities and ensure tasks are completed within project scope and budget
- Support Managers and Principals with economic responsibilities for billing, realization, and collections
- Coach and support Associates as they learn technical skills, systems, and processes and provide opportunities to apply them
- Provide tax research on a wide range of tax issues, draft IRS responses, and other taxing authority inquiries
- Work with leaders on special projects
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and Pro Fx Engagement preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Produce high-quality work under deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Particular attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management
- Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability
- Successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to take initiative and find solutions
- Ability to perform successfully both on a team as well as independently
- 3+ years of related experience, with at least 2 years preparing complex individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns
- CPA candidates preferred
