Hourly Pay Range: $28.47 - $42.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

- Minimum 32 to 72 hrs/ 6 week schedule

Hours:

Monday-Saturday 8:00a-4:30pm

What You Will Do
  • Develops and implements a care plan based on assessment of nutritional needs. Utilizes relevant data and appropriate methods for estimating nutritional requirements. Provides effective nutritional management for all age groups. Updates the plan of care as needed based on changes in the patient's medical condition.
  • Counsels patients, families and/or groups on prescribed diets in an individualized manner, utilizing a variety of educational materials.
  • Assumes primary responsibility in the Eating Disorder Program for patient meal planning, nutritional snacks, meal preparation and cooking.
  • Insures that meal plans/dietary cards are prepared for patients 7 days a week.
  • May participate in multi-family meals and co-facilitate nutrition education groups for patients and families.
  • Works closely with Food Service Management in the design and implementation of balanced meal plans for identified client base that includes Diabetic, Anorexic, Bulimic and Obese.
  • Contributes to the nutrition-specific educational training of professional staff, colleagues, support staff, students and community when required.
  • Participates in activities that enhance professional growth and development, keeping abreast in given fields of Nutrition, Diabetes, and Eating Disorders.
What You Will Need

Education, Experience and/or

Skills Required:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field

Education, Experience and/or Skills Preferred:

  • A minimum of six months of Eating Disorder and/or Diabetes experience

License/Certification

Required:

  • Current State of Illinois Dietitian Nutritionist licensure (LDN) within ninety days of start date into position.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential (RDN)
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
