The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and overall presentation of hotel guest rooms. This role ensures guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming stay by adhering to Marriott's stellar cleanliness and service standards.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Clean and service guest rooms daily, including beds, bathrooms, floors, and furniture.
- Replace bed linens, towels, and guest amenities as needed.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop all surfaces according to hotel standards.
- Ensure rooms are well-stocked with supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and water.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Handle guest requests politely and promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for guest belongings.
- Assist with laundry and linen handling as needed.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Transfer items left in guest rooms to lost and found and document item findings.
- Cleans a standard of 16+ rooms a day.
Requirements include:
- 1 year housekeeping experience in a hotel environment preferred.
- Must be able to verbally communicate clearly with guests and fellow employees.
- Must be able to make appropriate judgements relative to the process of cleaning guest rooms.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift heavy objects.
Hours:
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year- any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
