Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department during the morning shift. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Inter Continental brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The supervisor leads, coaches, and supports housekeeping colleagues, conducts room inspections, and collaborates with other departments to ensure operational excellence.
- Supervise and inspect the work of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Attendants to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct guest room and public area inspections, ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards are maintained.
- Assign daily work schedules and room assignments based on occupancy and operational needs.
- Monitor room status and communicate updates with the Front Office team to support efficient room availability.
- Train, coach, and develop housekeeping colleagues while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide feedback and support corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, OSHA standards, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with inventory control, linen management, supply ordering, and cost-control initiatives.
- Report maintenance concerns and coordinate with Engineering to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the Director of Operations with departmental projects, payroll, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning equipment, and hotel quality standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing or walking for extended periods
The hourly range for this role is $23.00
