Human Resource Intern

Summary:

The HR Intern will support the entire Human Resources department, gaining exposure to various areas through projects in benefits, compensation, and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), but with a main focus on recruiting

Primary Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and schedule interviews for entry level requisitions including escorting on-site interviews

* Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications

* Maintain and update applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status updates

* Post job openings across various platforms and monitor applications

* Assist with ongoing and new and ad hoc HR projects, focusing on benefits, compensation, training, and HRIS.

* Enter data and perform audits in the HRIS system.

* Serve as the primary contact for other Calamos interns, addressing questions and distributing relevant information.

* Help coordinate events for the internship program.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled (as a rising junior or senior) in a Bachelor's degree or MBA program.

* Demonstrated challenging curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

* High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

For Illinois Applicants only: the expected hourly rate for this position is $22/hr.
