IBM Product Specialist – Procurement & Sales
Remote USA – Facility in North Carolina
About the CompanyWe working with a fast-growing provider of IT procurement and resale solutions. With a 20,000 sq. ft. facility and an ambitious growth trajectory, they work directly with end users and large IT departments to source and resell enterprise-level systems and components.
The RoleWe are seeking an IBM Product Specialist to take ownership of procuring and reselling IBM products, while also expanding opportunities across Dell, HP, and other OEMs. This is a unique role focused on building direct relationships with end users, sourcing used IBM systems and servers at below-market rates, and managing both sides of the transaction lifecycle.
This position is critical to scaling their IBM programme, and we are looking for a candidate who can combine technical product knowledge with commercial acumen and strong sourcing networks.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing
- Identify and secure used IBM systems/servers directly from end users specifically.
- Build relationships with IT departments, IT asset disposition (ITAD) groups, and other sources.
- Procure systems in volume (10–300+ units per month), as well as high-value one-off systems.
- Source additional hardware opportunities (e.g., hard drives, whole systems) when available.
Sales & Relationship Management
- Resell IBM and other OEM products (Dell, HP, etc.) to end users.
- Manage sales from initial contact through to closing and fulfillment.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships to enable repeat business.
- Support two existing sales team members by ensuring consistent product flow.
- Experience in IT hardware procurement, resale, or ITAD (preferably with IBM, Dell, or HP systems).
- A strong network of end users and enterprise IT contacts.
- Commercial acumen with proven ability to buy/sell systems profitably.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work remotely and independently.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Uncapped commission:
- 5% on gross profit from purchases
- 15% on gross profit from sales
