Overview

Canva & Figma Designer (Part-Time, EST / NYC Preferred) – Next Gen Coding Company

Location: USA-Based (Remote, EST hours; NYC preferred)

Compensation: $20/hour

Schedule: Part-Time (under 5 hours/week, max 20 hours/month; potential to scale to Full-Time after trust and performance are established)

Next Gen Coding Company is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Canva & Figma Designer to support design initiatives across social media, newsletters, web applications, and client-facing templates. This is a hands-on, part-time role with a strong emphasis on accuracy, fast turnaround times, and alignment with technical brand identity
. The ideal candidate is experienced with Canva and Figma, has exposure to designing for tech companies, and is available during Eastern Time Zone hours.

Responsibilities
  • Design and iterate on Figma-based UI templates for web applications, dashboards, and client-facing projects
  • Design and prepare visually compelling assets for social media campaigns (You Tube, Linked In, Instagram, Tik Tok) that drive SEO impact and client engagement
  • Create and refine newsletter templates (via Canva/Send Grid) that highlight company offerings and generate inbound project calls
  • Deliver clean, professional layouts for PDFs, presentations, and whitepapers aligned with Next Gen’s branding
  • Research UI/UX trends across platforms such as Behance, Dribbble, and Pinterest to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with leadership and developers to translate technical concepts (AI/ML, blockchain, APIs, data engineering, etc.) into intuitive visual assets
  • Optimize workflows by batching tasks and preparing reusable templates for efficiency
  • Maintain high design quality under quick deadlines with an emphasis on precision and consistency
Qualifications
  • Proven experience with Canva and Figma
    , delivering high-quality design assets for professional or client-facing use
  • Strong portfolio of social media, newsletter, and/or UI/UX work
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts (cloud, AI/ML, blockchain, etc.) into clean, engaging visuals
  • Familiarity with tools such as Send Grid, Mermaid.js, and AI-assisted platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Eleven Labs) is a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to feedback
  • U.S.

    -based and available to work during Eastern Time Zone hours (NYC candidates preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple small deliverables efficiently
