Associate Scientific Director

(Remote) Medical communications company seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Scientific Director.. This role is ideal for a scientifically driven leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and client partnership. This position will play a critical role in shaping scientific narratives, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, insight-driven medical content across multiple therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead scientific strategy and content development across medical communications deliverables

Serve as a scientific expert and trusted advisor to internal teams and external clients.

Ensure scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance across all materials.

Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear, compelling medical narratives.

Mentor and review work from junior scientific staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

Collaborate closely with account, editorial, design, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.

Contribute to business growth through proposal development, client presentations, and strategic planning.

Stay current on therapeutic area knowledge, clinical data, and industry trends.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills Include:

Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent preferred).

4+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, or a related agency environment.

Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and communicating clinical data.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience guiding scientific teams.

Experience interacting directly with clients and contributing to strategic discussions.
