Job Description
As a Project Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients across all project phases, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication. You will facilitate timely and professional communication with owners, keeping them informed of project status, key decisions, and emerging issues. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver regular project status reports to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities

+ Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion
+ Proactively identify scheduling risks or delays and implement corrective actions
+ Participate in project planning and milestone reviews for team alignment
+ Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and identify financial variances
+ Communicate budget status and financial risks to leadership and stakeholders
+ Coordinate project staffing and align team resources with project needs
+ Oversee consultant teams to ensure timely and aligned deliverables
+ Lead and mentor project team members to foster a collaborative environment
+ Schedule and execute quality reviews to uphold firm standards
+ Provide oversight of construction administration activities
Essential Skills
+ Project management experience for commercial architecture projects
+ Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
+ Strong communication skills
+ Experience in quality control and construction administration
+ Schedule management expertise
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in Architecture.
+ 5+ years of professional work experience
+ 3+ years of project management experience
+ Experience managing commercial projects
+ Ability to manage a small team and handle 10+ commercial projects simultaneously
+ Experience working directly with clients
Work Environment
The position is based in Naperville, located right off of the 5th Avenue Station, with a team that operates 100% in-office. Core business hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering flexibility for employees to manage their schedules. The team currently consists of 11 members, with plans to expand to 13+ this year and next. The firm is a commercial architecture company, busy with auto-dealership work, office projects for various clients and industries, as well as multi-family residential projects.
The current workload includes a surge of projects across all three markets from both existing and new clients, encompassing renovations and new build work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Naperville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
