Field Technicians work directly with Velocity support groups and customer locations to ensure job sites are completed to customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for the management and completion of installation, cabling, equipment maintenance, and resources at customer locations. The position is based out of your local area with an expectation of 95% travel.

• Enjoy problem solving and facing new challenges
• Can terminate/install/trace various forms of cable (Cat5, Cat6, Coax, etc.)
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work in a fast‑moving environment to complete assigned tasks within the given time

• Install/service equipment at customer locations across the US
• Work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
• Ensure the job site operates to Velocity and customer standards
• Effectively and professionally communicate and interact with internal and external customers on the status of the work order or other important information
• Troubleshoot and diagnose managed devices
• Repair, maintain, and install telecommunications infrastructure
• Manage helper technicians and ensure they follow all established processes
• Display professional presentation at all times at customer sites
• Complete and maintain administrative tasks/paperwork such as timesheets and expense reports
• Complete additional tasks as required

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 2 years steady work experience
• Ability to obtain certifications required for aerial lifts
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured
• Ability to repeatedly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds independently
• Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service (preferred)
• Willingness to travel 95% including consecutive overnight stays

• 2 years in installation, field services, or similar background
• Minimum 1‑year low voltage experience
