School Social Worker | Illinois | Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year Support Students. Strengthen Connections. Make an Impact. Our organization is partnering with an Illinois school district to recruit a compassionate and student-focused School Social Worker for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a professional who is passionate about helping students navigate academic, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges while creating a positive school experience.

As a School Social Worker, you'll provide direct support to students and help identify barriers that may affect their academic performance, behavior, attendance, or overall well-being. You'll work closely with educators, families, administrators, and related service professionals to develop appropriate interventions and connect students with resources that promote success.

Brief overview:

• Provide individual and group social-emotional support based on student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered interventions and support plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute social work expertise to educational planning.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• LCSW or LSW may be preferred depending on district requirements.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of social-emotional development, behavioral interventions, and student support services.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate School Social Worker endorsement.
