Compensation for this role is $20/hr The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation. This 10 to 12-week internship program will take place in one of multiple locations during the summer of 2026.

What you'll do on a typical day:

* Develop software using technologies such as .Net, C#, MS SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform, Python, and emerging AI tools

* Participate in the design and development of AI-driven solutions, including building and testing AI agents within cloud environments

* Collaborate with product and engineering teams to explore practical AI use cases and support implementation from concept to deployment

* Contribute to development of APIs and application infrastructure supporting both traditional and AI-enabled web applications

* Apply best coding practices and standards, including experimentation with AI-assisted development workflows

* Work in an agile start-up environment with daily standups, live coding collaboration, and continuous integration

What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

* Pursuing BS in a STEM-based field (ie. Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.)

It'd be great if you also have:

* Class status as a junior (3rd year) or greater

* 2 or more years of relevant software development coursework, including Python preferred

* Development experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or Python

* Exposure to AI/ML concepts, generative AI tools, or building AI-driven applications or agents (academic or project-based experience acceptable)

* Experience working with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.), especially for AI or data-driven solutions

* Experience collaborating on product or project teams to translate technical concepts into practical use cases

* Experience with one of the JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React

JS, VueJS, etc.) is a plus

* Experience in web, mobile and responsive design is a plus

* Solid technical competency in coding and testing; strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly

* Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed

* Ability to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in an intellectually rigorous environment

* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems

* Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask

* Great verbal and written communication skills
