The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing activities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal policies, and timely processing of accounting transactions. The Accounting Specialist works closely with the Controller, operational teams, and external partners to support overall financial operations.
Responsibilities- Process AP invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Prepare and upload AR invoices; monitor payments and aging reports.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close: journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Support audit requests and prepare supporting schedules.
- Help manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with accounting systems (Net Suite a plus).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities.
