We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Project Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records, project costing, vendor management, and client billing.
Position OverviewThe Project Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller and project teams to manage the day-to-day accounting functions of the business. This role requires someone who is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands project-based accounting.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Quick Books Online and Design Manager
- Enter and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate accounts payable
- Record client payments and assist with accounts receivable
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance
- Enter budgets, estimates, and purchase orders in Quickbooks
- Link purchase orders and vendor invoices accurately
- Track project costs throughout the life of each project
- Assist with client invoicing and progress billing
- Ensure all project costs are properly allocated
- Review project profitability upon completion
- Work closely with the Controller to maintain accurate project financials
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of Quick Books Online
- Experience using Design Manager software
- Excellent understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and project accounting
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Professional communication skills
