Assurance Manager – Nonprofit

• Provide timely, high-quality client service, including coordinating audits of required financial statements, disclosures, and deliverables
• Assess risk and design and communicate audit procedures
• Understand and utilize RSM’s Audit Methodology
• Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement staff evaluations
• Monitor and review work product and provide performance reporting and coaching
• Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors and facilitate fieldwork, productivity, and work-plan adherence
• Maintain year-round client contact and assess business developments’ impact on audits
• Develop others through training, career-development advising, and Firm initiatives
• Read industry publications and share relevant information with clients
• Anticipate and address client concerns and elevate issues
• Identify opportunities to introduce clients to other RSM services
• Develop external Center of Influence relationships to support business growth
• Manage project profitability
• Communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Partners
• Identify performance-improvement opportunities
• Maintain ongoing professional education and stay current with GAAP and Firm standards and policies

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
• CPA or CA Certification
• 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates
• Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS regulations
• Proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships
• Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements
• Willingness to travel 25% of the year, depending on clients

Demonstrates expertise in audit services, including risk assessment, audit methodology, and GAAP compliance, while effectively managing teams and client relationships to drive business growth.
