- Receives and processes financial documents for assigned accounting functions (e.g., purchase order requisitions, utility fees, invoices); reviews documents, ensures accuracy, and completes with appropriate information such as account codes and vendor numbers.
- Prepares documents for assigned accounting programs (invoices, bills, check requests, purchase orders, adjustments); ensures accuracy and completeness.
- Establishes and maintains accounting information in the automated financial information systems; posts information, performs data entry for accounting transactions, maintains automated files and databases, processes data to produce accounting documents.
- Accepts and posts payments for assigned programs/functions; prepares receipts and submits interfaces to financial management system.
- Establishes and maintains a variety of division records and files including procurement, accounts receivable/payable files, correspondence, monthly reports, purchase order files.
- Performs general clerical tasks in support of assigned functions such as opening and distributing mail and distributing accounting documents and reports bills to appropriate divisions.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six (6) months of related experience.
- Fingerprinting required.
Salary offers above the minimum pay grade may be considered based on qualifications. Essential employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident‑by‑incident basis.
