To accomplish the Clerk’s Office core mission of serving the citizens of Collier County, the Satellite Supervisor
is a key leadership position responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing programs, activities, and operations associated with the Clerk’s Satellites Offices. The Satellite Supervisor works independently with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgement. This position interacts with all levels of the Clerk’s Office, other Collier County agencies, vendors, and public.
This position will be responsible for performing key functions, including:
- Supervise assigned staff by directing work, processing employee concerns and problems, completing employee performance appraisals, training, recommending corrective and disciplinary actions, and conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
- Communicate with Board departments, vendors, auditors, and employees as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems or give/receive advice/direction.
- Participate in the development of the section’s work plan, goals, and objectives to ensure alignment with the Recording Department and Clerk’s Office initiatives and daily operations.
- Assign work activities and projects, monitor workflows, and review and evaluate work products.
- Maintain a comprehensive current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations that impact the department.
- Maintain awareness of new trends in efficient operations processing and obtaining continuing education credits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED equivalent and one year of experience at the Satellite Clerk II level or above and/or relevant work experience. One year of lead or supervisory experience required. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to be certified to handle passports.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequired:
- Knowledge of the Clerk’s programs, functions and services.
- Knowledge of legal documents and their purpose.
- Knowledge of clerical and court procedures and operations.
- Ability to communicate orally in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, outside agencies, and the public.
- Ability to maintain close attention to details.
- Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
- U.S. Department of State guidelines for Passport Acceptance.
