GULFSHORE PLAYHOUSE SEEKS Assistant Events/Food & Beverage Manager. Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as the Assistant Events/Food & Beverage Manager.

Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. Gulfshore Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Gulfshore Playhouse recently opened the Gulfshore Playhouse Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the art facility, featuring a 365-seat mainstage with a Broadway-sized stage, a 125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space. In 2022, Gulfshore Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). This is an extraordinarily exciting time for Gulfshore Playhouse, which is experiencing unprecedented growth in a collaborative and creative community.

Status: Full-time, year-round position, Overtime exempt.

Start Date: Immediately — February 2026

Representative Duties:

Responsibilities
  • Oversee food and beverage operations coinciding with daytime services, performances, and events. This includes menu planning/creating, ordering supplies, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations governing food and beverage service operations. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures of cleanliness and sanitation to maintain compliance.
  • Supervise staff during events and performances, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional and efficient service delivery.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including weddings, conferences, banquets, and corporate functions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Plan and coordinate event logistics such as room setup, audiovisual equipment, decor, beverages, catering and other outside services.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Address patron and client inquiries, concerns and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising Event/F&B staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and daily lineups, providing guidance and support to ensure staff is knowledgeable of all menu items, well-trained in customer service, food safety, and event/performance procedures.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in budget development and monitor expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Manage event budgets effectively, tracking costs and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts as required by management.
  • Support marketing efforts to attract clients and promote event services.
  • Collaborate with all Gulfshore Playhouse staff members to provide excellent customer service and create a world-class experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a hospitality management, event planning, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in an upscale venue.
