Overview

As a Business Banking Specialist, you will acquire and develop commercial and business banking relationships and deliver a full range of business deposits and related services such as Treasury Management and Merchant Services products.
The role primarily engages in outbound calling activities to generate new business opportunities and may occasionally partner with a business or commercial banker to provide expertise around business deposits and related services.
- Sales – Achieve individual and/or team financial, production and relationship results relative to the specific metrics and goals assigned. Results should align with the needs of the community and support the organizational commitment to diverse lending. Engage with customers, prospects and referral sources through proactive outreach. Represent the Bank in the community by attending civic and community events to generate business and identify potential CRA opportunities.
- Service Standards – Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, prospects and colleagues. Initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities. Listen attentively and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and preferences; take prompt actions to address immediate needs. Proactively seek coaching, support Bank initiatives and leverage tools to enhance activities.
- Operations and Administration – Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions and financial exposures. Complete required training by established deadlines. Perform general office management duties as assigned to ensure operational efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Commercial or business financial services sales and business development OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Commercial or business financial services sales and business development.
License or Certification – Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.
Required Skills – Application of a structured sales process, providing financial guidance and expertise, knowledge of business deposit and cash management solutions, business development, networking and building centers of influence.
