We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for a high-profile hospitality project in Naples, Florida. This role requires a technically proficient field leader with strong MEP coordination capabilities, post-tension (PT) slab knowledge, and the ability to manage schedule, inspections, subcontractors, and ownership interface in a fast-paced environment.
The Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision, quality control, schedule enforcement, and coordination between ownership, brand representatives, consultants, and trade partners.
Key Responsibilities Field Operations & Technical Oversight- Manage daily on-site construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
- Oversee installation and coordination of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) to ensure compliance with contract documents and sequencing requirements.
- Supervise and inspect post-tension (PT) structural slab operations, including tendon placement, stressing operations, and inspection coordination.
- Enforce quality control standards and ensure work conforms to drawings, specifications, and brand standards.
- Operate site equipment as needed, including skid steer and forklift.
- Develop, update, and enforce project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate short-interval planning with trade contractors.
- Identify critical path impacts and proactively mitigate schedule delays.
- Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam Revu for document control, submittal review support, field coordination, and markups.
- Schedule and coordinate all required inspections with:
- Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Third-party/special inspectors (Threshold inspections)
- Maintain a comprehensive inspection log.
- Track and manage correction notices and ensure timely resolution.
- Create, manage, and maintain a deficiencies (punch) log.
- Drive subcontractors toward timely correction of deficiencies.
- Coordinate phased turnover inspections and final inspections.
- Serve as primary field liaison between
- Ownership
- Brand representatives
- Design team
- Subcontractors
- Conduct coordination meetings and communicate schedule expectations clearly.
- Provide consistent field reporting and status updates.
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial or hospitality projects.
- Demonstrated experience with MEP coordination on complex builds.
- Direct experience managing post-tension slab construction.
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Project
- Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Strong working knowledge of building codes, inspections, and special inspection processes.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to operate skid steer and forklift.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Hospitality or resort construction experience.
- Experience working with brand standards and ownership-driven projects.
- Experience managing multi-phase or occupied-site construction
