Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for the day‑to‑day field operations of aggregate and heavy civil construction projects for Earth Tech Enterprises. This role provides direct leadership to field crews, ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and schedules, and serves as the on‑site representative for Earth Tech. The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans, coordinate manpower and equipment, maintain productivity, and uphold Earth Tech’s core values of Humble, Hungry, and Smart.

Field

Operations & Project Execution
  • Direct and supervise all on‑site construction activities from project startup through completion.
  • Implement project plans, schedules, and work sequencing to meet production goals.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly work plans with Project Managers and Foremen.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Crew Leadership & Workforce Management
  • Lead, train, and mentor Foremen and field crews to promote productivity and accountability.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficient use of manpower.
  • Support staffing needs, scheduling, and timekeeping in coordination with Project Management and HR.
  • Foster a positive jobsite culture built on teamwork, respect, and safety.
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce Earth Tech’s safety policies, OSHA standards, and site‑specific safety plans.
  • Conduct daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
  • Partner with Safety leadership to investigate incidents, near‑misses, and corrective actions.
Equipment, Materials & Logistics
  • Coordinate equipment needs, mobilization, and maintenance with the Equipment Division.
  • Ensure proper use and care of company equipment and tools.
  • Plan and coordinate material deliveries, trucking, and stockpile management.
  • Monitor equipment productivity and report issues or inefficiencies.
Quality Control
  • Ensure all work meets Earth Tech quality standards and project specifications.
  • Verify grades, elevations, compaction, and quantities as required.
  • Address rework or quality issues promptly to minimize delays and cost impacts.
Coordination & Communication
  • Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and resource needs to the Project Manager.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide field input on schedule, sequencing, and constructability.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production logs, and field documentation.
  • Track manpower, equipment usage, and production quantities.
  • Support project documentation requirements, including as‑builts and closeout information.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in aggregate, quarry, or heavy civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of earthwork, crushing operations, materials handling, and site logistics.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proven leadership and crew management skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with basic technology, mobile field reporting tools, and timekeeping systems.
Physical &

Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work full‑time in active quarry and construction environments.
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or varying shifts as project demands require.
