Role DescriptionThe Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Naples, FL, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on active construction projects. This role coordinates subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Superintendent monitors construction progress, conducts site walks, resolves field issues, and communicates regularly with project managers and stakeholders.
Daily tasks include managing site logistics, enforcing safety protocols, tracking materials and inspections, documenting site activities, and supporting project budgeting and scheduling efforts. The role also involves mentoring field staff, maintaining a clean and organized jobsite, and representing the company professionally with clients, inspectors, and partners.
- Strong Construction Site Management skills, including coordinating trades, managing daily field activities, and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Demonstrated Construction Safety knowledge, including enforcing safety procedures, leading toolbox talks, and promoting a safe work environment.
- Effective Organization Skills for scheduling, documentation, materials tracking, and maintaining an orderly jobsite.
- Experience with Budgeting and cost awareness, including tracking labor and materials to support project financial goals.
- Project Management capabilities, such as managing timelines, collaborating with project managers, and supporting issue resolution.
- Prior experience as a superintendent or foreperson in residential or commercial construction, preferably in similar project types.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building codes.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, inspectors, and trade partners.
- Proficiency with basic construction technology (e.g., email, scheduling tools, project management or field-reporting software).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or construction-related education is beneficial.
