Cost Estimator

NSA Naples (Capodichino) but with temporary travel trips to NSA Bahrain.

Provide services in support of the overall operational objectives of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe, Africa, Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT) and its effort to provide facilities and engineering support to Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain and its areas of responsibilities. Primary duties are to provide planning, estimating, scheduling, engineering, project management and administrative services with a primary work location at NSA Naples (Capodichino) but with temporary travel trips to NSA Bahrain.

NSA Bahrain is comprised of four (4) installations known as NSA 1, NSA 2, NSA 3 and Isa Air Base.

• Be a U.S Citizen
• Have a valid driver's license

• Certification as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) issued by AACE International, registration as a Tri-Service Cost Consultant, or equivalent recognized construction cost estimating credential is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional construction cost estimating experience is required. Experience shall include accepted cost estimating practices for new construction, renovation, repair, demolition, maintenance, and construction contract modification estimates.
• Completion of formal education or technical training in construction management, architecture, engineering, cost estimating, quantity surveying, business, economics, or a related field is desirable.
• A degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; however, the position is cost-estimator oriented and shall emphasize demonstrated hands-on experience with facility construction methods, labor, material, equipment, subcontractor pricing, construction sequencing, and market pricing conditions.
• Desired the candidate have 3 to 5 years of prior work experience in the design and/or construction fields in addition to cost estimating experience.
• Professional knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to prepare construction cost estimates for a wide range of shore-based facilities and military construction project types.
