Job Overview
As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club Operations team, the Boatcierge greets, anticipates needs, and suggests local attractions for members to enjoy a hassle‑free day on the water. We are looking for customer‑focused, friendly, and upbeat individuals. This position is part‑time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Functions- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
- Navigate the reservation system via handheld tablet
- Complete daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reports
- Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members
- Speak with others using clear and professional language
- Support the team to reach common goals
- Ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets and communicate via phone
- Availability to work regularly weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to adhere to all safety policies
- Experience in or around boats
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
- Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
- Work outdoors and in various weather conditions for an extended period of time
- Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floating
- Work near and on the water
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $14/hr.
