At Family Orthodontics of Naples, we're looking for a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. Position Details:
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Assist orthodontists and dental team during patient visits and procedures.
- Provide patient care with a focus on children and families.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols.
- Support front desk and clinical operations to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Orthodontic assisting experience preferred, but we welcome experienced dental assistants and provide training.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to excellent patient care; eager to learn and grow professionally.
- A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is required.
- An Orthodontist Assistant state certification, included but not limited to nitrous oxide, dental radiology, and expanded function dental assistant (EFDA) or expanded duties dental assistant (EDDA).
- CPR certification.
- Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired.
- A minimum of 1-year orthodontic assisting experience.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; able to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Customer service oriented with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
- Effective written and verbal communication with all staff and management.
- Professional image aligned with company values.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency with PC software and ability to learn new programs; experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office; familiarity with office equipment.

- Hours may change to meet the business needs.
- Travel to offices that provide orthodontic services may be required.
- Attend and participate in all office meetings, continuing education events and morning huddles.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to twist, turn, bend and stoop.
