Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto here at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart", and we are looking for private music instructors who share the same philosophy. We strive to make music lessons as accessible and affordable to as many people as possible because we believe the importance of music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.

Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for multiple instruments. We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio location in the Naples, FL area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP.

The lessons can occur in the students' homes, your own home, your own studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam. While we do receive requests for webcam lessons, they make up only a small percentage of our student base. Most of our students still prefer in-person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students or are willing to travel to students in the Naples area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one music instruction to students in their homes, your own home, studio, or via webcam.
  • Plan practice schedules and lesson plans; set your own schedule.
  • Travel to students within the Naples, FL area as needed.
  • Maintain punctuality and communicate timely with the office and students.
  • Follow COVID-19 precautions: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
  • Billed as an independent contractor, earn between $20–$30 per hour depending on travel time, experience, and student retention rate.
Qualifications
  • Formal music training is not mandatory, but you must have either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own curriculum.
  • Good phone and video communication skills for remote lessons.
Benefits
  • Independent contractor status with flexible schedule.
  • Company handles advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing.
  • Competitive hourly pay between $20–$30.
