As a Before & After Care Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students during authorized before or after school programs in accordance with CSUSA policy and established school procedures.

You Will Impact Education
  • This position is in the public eye and program assistants must always reflect a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
  • Candidates must be able to resolve conflicts with children and parents, maintain a firm but friendly approach, and remain courteous and professional when dealing with parents, children, and co‑workers.
  • Typical responsibilities include:
    • Follow proper student sign‑in and dismissal procedures for Before Care.
    • Follow proper student check‑in and dismissal procedures for After Care.
    • Monitor students.
    • Observe those entering and leaving the childcare area.
    • Pass out snacks.
    • Play with students on the playground.
    • Tutor and assist students with homework.
    • Resolve conflicts with children and parents.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or higher education credential.
  • Previous experience as a daycare assistant or summer camp counselor, preferred.
  • Must like children.
  • Commitment to company values.
  • Alternatives to the above requirements may be considered if CSUSA finds them appropriate and acceptable.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Usual school working conditions.
  • May be noisy during high student traffic.
Physical Demands
  • No physical exertion required.
  • Somewhat stressful due to frequent student activity.
  • Light work:
    Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
FLSA Overtime Category

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
