School Psychologist Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience)
A degree from a specialist-level program of study (e.g., Ed.S,, PsyS, CAGS, Masters) from a NASP or APA accredited or approved graduate training program in school psychology that includes the following:
- A minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of graduate credit in school psychology;
- Completion of a minimum of three (3) semester hours of supervised and sequenced practica experiences prior to the internship in paragraph (2)(c); and,
- Completion of a twelve‑hundred (1200) hour, supervised internship with at least six‑hundred (600) hours completed in an elementary or secondary school setting. No more than six (6) hours of internship credit may be applied to the sixty (60) semester hour requirement in paragraph (2)(a)
Basic computer skills required (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email). Ability to regularly travel to school sites as needed to meet with and provide services to students and families. Eligible for Florida School Psychologist Certification or Florida school psychology licensure from the Department of Health as defined in Chapter 490 F.S., and Florida driver's license.

School Psychologist Pool Vacancy for the 26‑27 School Year. Candidates must have a completed employment application and an updated resume. Eligible for Florida School Psychologist Certification or Florida school psychology licensure from the Department of Health as defined in Chapter 490 F.S., and Florida driver's license. Candidates must upload their Certification/Licensure to the employment application.
