Position Overview

As the Student Services Director you will represent and advocate for the student body, supervise student services staff, manage the department budget, ensure compliance with regulations, and coordinate student activities and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise student services staff and manage staffing.
  • Assist with managing the department budget and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate logistics for student activities and events.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive student services program, including special education, student discipline, social‑emotional programming, grant‑funded programs, and Section 504.
  • Support the implementation of non‑violent crisis intervention programming.
  • Maintain student records and oversee budgeting and accounting for special education and student services.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff on special education services, IEP, transition planning, and data‑based decision making.
  • Collaborate with administrators and teachers to support instructional improvement and maintain high standards.
  • Coordinate with district administrators for extended school year needs and transition services.
  • Communicate with parents and agencies regarding student needs.
  • Lead and guide the student services team and cultivate a culture aligned with the school mission.
Qualifications
  • Current Florida Professional Educator Certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in School Administration, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Five years of school administration experience (preferred).
  • Strong background in special education administration and instruction, including IEP development and evaluation.
  • Experience with social‑emotional learning competencies and working with SEL intervention teams.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
