Guest Interventionist

Special Notes Guest Interventionist (K-5) - Calusa Park Elementary (CPE)

The School District is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Guest Interventionists for the  school year. This grant-funded position provides schools with additional personnel to support direct student tutoring focused on closing achievement gaps and accelerating student reading achievement. During the school day, a part-time hourly interventionist position has been created to provide tutoring and intervention services. Guest Interventionists may work no more than twenty (20) hours per week.

The Guest Interventionist will work under the direction of the classroom teacher and/or designated school administrator to provide tutoring and intervention support to students. Instruction may be provided to individual students and/or small groups.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to follow provided lesson plans, instructional materials, and tutoring protocols with consistency and fidelity.
• Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness and literacy skills.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group instructional settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
• Ability to participate in required training and apply instructional strategies and routines introduced through training.
