This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
Must be physically able to:
- Climb stairs and work in small areas.
- Support production floor activities.
- Lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Create detailed work instructions from engineering design and/or Concept of Operations for first stage of New Glenn.
- Engage in ship side support for active Production
- Non-conformance disposition and management
- Participate in the entire design, manufacturing and test cycle of integration, including conceptual and detailed design, development testing and qualification for a wide range of development hardware.
- Advise raw materials and manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
- Implement new technologies.
- Collaborate with other engineers to maintain quality control and meet production targets.
- High School, GED, or equivalent
- 10+ years in Production environment
- Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of various skills across large geographic distances.
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- A desire to be customer-centric and actively facilitate functional solutions with minimal direction
- Willingness to push back on unreasonable design elements or schedule demands
- Able to work as a part of team in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and dynamic environment
- 8+ years as a integrator in Space Industry
- Familiar with scheduling and time/cost-estimation
- Experience in fast-paced environments
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and providing DFM feedback to customers
- Tooling and fixture design
