Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to support the design, construction, and maintenance of industrial automation systems. This role involves assembling and wiring electrical panels, working with PLCs, integrating motors and drives, and troubleshooting a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple projects at once and contributing to both new builds and system upgrades.
Responsibilities- Build and layout industrial electrical enclosures and control panels.
- Perform wiring, assembly, and electrical integration for automation systems.
- Diagnose, test, and repair electrical equipment and controls.
- Modify and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Retrofit motors, drives, and related equipment.
- Carry out routine facility and equipment maintenance tasks.
- Support several active automation projects simultaneously.
- Mechanical Systems:
Tools, machinery, repair processes, and general mechanical operation. - Mathematics:
Practical understanding of algebra, geometry, and arithmetic. - Electrical Principles: AC/DC wiring, electrical control concepts, and circuit functionality.
- Technology & Engineering:
Strong foundation in automation technologies and engineering practices. - PLC expertise, including experience with Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, RSLinx, Automation Direct (Productivity Suite, Click, C-More HMI), Delta programs, Maple Systems – Easy Builder Pro HMI, Solid Works, Keyence LS-Navigator 2, Zumbach Controls.

Prioritizing tasks and managing personal workload. - Instruction & Training:
Teaching coworkers how to operate systems or complete tasks. - Repair Work:
Servicing both production equipment and facility systems. - Preventive Maintenance:
Identifying maintenance needs and performing PM tasks. - Troubleshooting:
Determining root causes of malfunctions and implementing corrective actions. - Technical Drawing:
Ability to interpret technical schematics and create basic AutoCAD drawings. - Fabrication:
Capable of designing and fabricating simple components or equipment. - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or facility maintenance.
- Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred (additional experience may substitute).
- Welding certifications are beneficial but not required.
Work in a clean, climate‑controlled environment. This position requires hands‑on work with PLC programming, electrical systems, and automation equipment. The dress code is standard for an industrial setting.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Naples, FL.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year.
Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and PTO.
