Opportunity
Six-month full-time engineering co-op opportunity at the Fluid Systems Division of Parker Aerospace located in Naples, FL.
Responsibilities- Work with the engineers in designing new products
- Make new or modify existing product drawings using Catia (training provided)
- Help with ordering & testing prototype parts
- Analyze test results and help refine the design
- Write test reports
- Help create other engineering documents and maintain engineering database
- Make special product drawings to customer specifications
- Work special projects in automation and operation support for future factory.
- Participate in project status reports at the product meetings
- Help with other misc. engineering tasks
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited university, in area of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering similar field and have completed course work in Fluid Dynamics and Stress Analysis.
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering domain principles, concepts, and techniques.
- Fundamental knowledge of and proficiency with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to work with general direction and instruction regarding the scope of assignments; determines the priority and order of assignments; and applies judgment in selecting procedures and techniques.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all contacts.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and a passion for engineering.
- Prior work experience in related industry preferred.
