Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Sr. Engineering Test Technician. This individual will be responsible for designing, prototyping, building, troubleshooting, and repairing highly specialized electro-mechanical systems for use in engineering lab testing, as well as supporting design engineers in the development of concept and prototype electro-mechanical assemblies that eventually bridge to finished medical device systems.

- Work on assignments such as R&D, verification, and validation builds that require sound judgement and collaborative skills in resolving any issues.
- Assemble components to specifications using specialized hand tools, measuring equipment, microscopes, while making decisions regarding proper fit within established guidelines.
- Generate and perform detailed electrical test procedures and document results.
- Ability to complete complex tasks and assignments in creative and effective ways.
- Determine root cause analysis using a variety of tools, including data analysis.
- Assist with various aspects of engineering product development as may be assigned.
- Perform or initiate any cleaning in the work area or maintenance/calibration of lab equipment as directed by preventive maintenance/calibration schedule.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Capable of installing circuit boards, power supplies, face plates, cables, troubleshooting circuits, participating in circuit design activities, creating schematics and mechanical drawings, and fabricating breadboards and mechanical systems as necessary to house the electronics.
- Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
- Ability to support manufacturing vendors to provide processing improvements and clarify device specifications.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate's degree or some college preferred.
- 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in medical device development or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with engineering specification documentation and conventions preferred.
