Your Opportunity
Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Naples and For Myers, Florida has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer Site / Civil Engineering. We are seeking a candidate with experience in professional practice and design related to land development/community development. This position will be involved with significant projects, interact with clients and government agencies and effectively working with a team.

Key Responsibilities
* Performing all aspects of civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control. Projects may include land development (all types/sectors), roadway/intersection design, preparation of construction plans and related design reports.
* Preparing complete submission packages, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties.
* Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
* Utilizes technologies in development of three dimensional models of civil systems and provides markups for junior engineers/designers.
* Prepares and revises documentation in various civil phases including site plans, and details.
* Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
* Participates in client project requirement meetings and value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
* Assists Project Manager with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
* Lead the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
* Performs and oversees the performance of calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
* Participates in constructability review.
* Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects.
* Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the civil group.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Ability to perform all aspects of design (grading, streets, water, sewer, storm drain, hydrology, erosion control, etc.) with an emphasis on technical and project delivery excellence.
* Sound knowledge of industry practice and demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service.
* Experience with both private and public sector clients/projects.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Hydrology / Hydraulic design software, Microsoft Office Suite.
* Direct experience in client management and business development is an asset.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in the profession of Civil Engineering civil/site design.
* Registered Professional Engineer in FL or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
