Alstom employs around 11,000 employees in the DACH region at 16 locations. At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as Head of Operations Locomotive Maintenance ECM III / ECM IV (w/m/d) in one of our service locations in Germany. This position is available full-time.

Your role at Alstom
- What you will achieve From Kassel, more than 35,000 locomotives have already been shipped into the world: at the traditional Alstom Kassel site, in addition to the construction, the service for the well-known Traxx locomotive platform plays an increasingly important role. The Rolling Stock & Components division offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus lies on green and intelligent solutions, including emission-free drive systems such as batteries and hydrogen.

In this role, you will report to the TRAXX Director and lead a committed team of 9 employees. Your tasks:
Leading the areas of Fleet Maintenance Management, Field Service;
Ensuring contract-compliant planning, monitoring, and provision of preventive and corrective maintenance of locomotives according to ECM 779/2019;
Developing the workshop network, as well as regular monitoring and certification of contract workshops within the framework of ECM 779/2019 and EHS requirements;
Actively supporting the company's goals regarding occupational safety, health, fire, and environmental protection;
Implementing efficient processes, standards, and requirements;
Ensuring compliance with local and international laws (e.g., data protection);
Conducting risk assessments and quality assurance measures;
Monitoring expenses and budget to support the company in optimizing costs and benefits;
Analyzing training needs and promoting / coaching employees to further develop their potential;
Creating medium and long-term personnel planning, budget planning, and planning for measuring instruments, special tools, IT & software;
Continuously optimizing processes and tools in the area of responsibility with a view to continuous effectiveness improvement;
Creating and reporting KPIs on the performance and business developments of the entire project portfolio;
Contact person for customers, as well as controlling internal and external suppliers and service providers within the framework of the projects;
Participation in internal and external audits.

Your profile

Your profile:

Successfully completed technical or economic studies, alternatively training as a technician, master craftsman or with corresponding professional experience;
Experience and in-depth knowledge in rail transport technology / locomotives;
Good knowledge and experience in project management and corresponding processes;
Confident in handling MS-Office;
High solution and result orientation;
Willingness to travel;
Team capability and assertiveness;
Good moderation and presentation skills;
Very good German and good English skills;
Proven professional experience as Head of Operations or experience in a comparable leadership position in management;
In-depth knowledge of rail vehicle maintenance and the requirements of the ECM Regulation 779/2019;
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
