Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Sr. Product Manager - Shoulder Arthroplasty will manage and lead initiatives for the Shoulder Arthroplasty product line and digital transformation in preoperative planning and execution. The successful candidate will build relationships with key customers and internal departments to drive new product innovation and manage existing product lines.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills along with seven plus years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree are essential. The position is onsite in Naples, FL – not remote.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- May manage one or more direct reports.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other Product / Project Managers.
- Participate in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
- Manage technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production.
- Manage day-to-day progress of product.
- Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
- Conduct marketing analysis to develop product definitions.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for the product.
- Coordinate and develop marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for the product line.
- Provide financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
- Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
- Conduct market research and identify and track market trends in the company’s industry.
- Produce competitive analysis materials comparing the product with its key competitors.
- Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden the product line.
- Participate in key sales situations for the product.
- Maintain communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for the product line.
- Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, and manage the product through market introduction to phase-out.
- Define promotional activities and publicize the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels.
- Provide expertise in the product area and develop strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate assigned programs to ensure financial/budgetary goals and optimal allocation of resources.
- Manage resources to execute assigned programs.
- Coordinate details of programs within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals.
- Coordinate product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales to maximize market penetration.
- Provide ongoing product surveillance and management of established products to meet financial objectives.
- Must be able to work with cadaveric specimens.
- Up to 25% travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in engineering, business, clinical or marketing.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Seven or more years of experience in medical device development and/or product management and/or engineering and/or sales and/or marketing and/or clinical experience.
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Understanding of all functions involved in development, production, and marketing of product is preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical orthopedics.
- Skilled in coordinating activities across functions to achieve results.
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to travel for past positions preferred.
- Ability to work with cadaveric specimens is required.
