GOVERNMENT AGENCY &

LOCATION:

NSA Naples (Capodichino) but with temporary travel trips to NSA Bahrain.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide services in support of the overall operational objectives of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe, Africa, Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT) and its effort to provide facilities and engineering support to Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain and its areas of responsibilities. Primary duties are to provide planning, estimating, scheduling, engineering, project management and administrative services with a primary work location at NSA Naples (Capodichino) but with temporary travel trips to NSA Bahrain.

NSA Bahrain is comprised of four (4) installations known as NSA 1, NSA 2, NSA 3 and Isa Air Base.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

If an Architect:

Completion of a course of studies accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) for an architectural program from a college or university earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, supplemented by a considerable amount of hands-on facilities design experience, is required.

Bachelor’s degree in a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) accredited Architectural program or approved equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of architectural design including at least 1 year working on facilities projects for a Federal Agency.

Registration as a Registered Architect (RA) is desired.

Minimum of 5 years of professional architecture, including facilities design experience for construction of new or repair of existing facilities, including renovation design experience, is required.

If an Engineer:

Completion of a course of studies from an Accreditation Board for Engineers and Technology (ABET) accredited Engineering program from a college or university with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, supplemented by a considerable amount of hands-on design experience, is required.

Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in their engineering discipline is desired.

Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering, including facilities design experience for construction of new or repair of existing facilities, including at least 1 year working on Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency, is required.

Independent, timely, professional architectural and engineering support, services and consultation for the planning, design, construction repair and maintenance of facilities and other real property infrastructure for Supported Commands, including specific projects, special projects, demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development.
