Assistant Controller

• Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for senior management review.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide guidance and support to the finance team in day to day operations.
• Manage and supplement the collection of accounts receivable.
• Manages the accounts payable function. Post processed invoices and prepare check runs.
• Negotiate the payment terms and schedules of accounts payable.
• Manages the monthly closing and reporting of the financial statements.
• Enforce compliance with company SOPs and internal controls.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the accounting records in support of the financial statements.
• Perform additional accounting tasks and special projects as requested by the General Manager and /or the Corporate Director of Finance.

• Ability to read English language so as to fully comprehend job requests, caution notices and similar written material.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and hotel property management systems.
• Experience with general ledger systems.
• General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Knowledge of M3 Accounting Core Systems, Jonas and HMS Infor.

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

• Minimum 4 years accounting experience required
